What is corn?

Corn, also known as maize, is a cereal grain that is widely cultivated throughout the world. How do you cook corn?

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C)
  2. Remove the husks and silk from the ears of corn.
  3. Brush the ears with a little oil and season with salt and pepper
  4. Place the ears of corn on a baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the kernels are tender and slightly charred.
To microwave corn:
  1. Remove the husks and silk from the ears of corn.
  2. Wrap each ear in a damp paper towel
  3. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes per ear or until tender.

Note that cooking times may vary depending on the ripeness of the corn and the size of the ears.
